Marcia Neill, Author of Creation to Present and Catholic Timeline
Illustrations is also the Director of Saint Michael The
Archangel Academy in Irvine California.
"The same concerns that I had in 1992 that motivated our family to
seek an alternative education system for our four children continue to exist even more so today. In
1992, when we formed this Academy, there were seven original families that agreed we needed a
private school to document our children’s academic progress and where they could earn a high school
diploma.
Fortified by prayer and the encouragement of my spiritual director
and the other Catholic families who had already been homeschooling successfully, I formed the
Academy. I knew that parents have the primary right and duty of educating their
children.
They also have the right to choose a suitable means of
accomplishing this education. This is documented in the Code of Canon Law that guides the Catholic
Church. It is also supported in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The families of St. Michael the Archangel Academy have chosen home
schooling as the means of educating their children, with the understanding that parents are the
most competent and able to determine the true needs and talents of their children.
The parents have the consequent responsibility to be suitably
prepared for undertaking the task of educating their own children and ensuring that they will be
equipped to be responsible members of society and committed disciples of Christ in the
Church.
"We are proud to be the first to introduce you to these
invaluable tools for studying history.
Every family, whether home educating or not, can benefit
from Creation to Present:
A Catholic World History Resource. This is a reference tool
that you will turn to again and again over the years."

"I find myself using the
reference timeline portion very frequently, it is definitely not a book that will be just left
on the shelf"
Alicia Van Hecke
"Most timelines represent world history from a Protestant
view, breezing over early church fathers, other people and events that receive greater attention in
Catholic history texts.
This timeline set includes most figures you find in other
timelines, plus those of special interest to Catholics."
